To find out the easiest recipes to make, we analysed over 700 recipes listed under ‘picnic’ on BBC Good Food. We then analysed the following: cook and prep time, star rating, number of ingredients, and ease of cooking. Any recipes without cook or prep time listed were excluded.

To find out the locations with the most picnic spots we analysed data from the National Trust here and here. We then used TripAdvisor to find out the number of reviews and rating for each spot, to award each a score for how highly rated it is.

All data correct as of 15th June 2020. All data can be viewed here.
