To establish the UK's Fresh Food Capitals we analysed the top 50 most populated cities (according to World Population Review) and searched sources like Yell and Google to establish the number of butchers, bakeries, fishmongers, greengrocers and farmers markets in each location. These figures were then divided by each city’s population to generate a per capita figure which was allocated a score across each metric. The top 25 highest scoring cities were then selected to feature within this campaign. Research was conducted during April 2019. All data and sources available here.
